PennMUSH
PennMUSH is a TinyMUD derivative, and one of the branches along the
TinyMUSH line. It has a rich history, and was originally called PernMUSH and was actually involved with the infamous MicroMUSH/MicroMUSE fisacos.
The name was eventually changed to PennMUSH when the project was taken over by Amberyl (having then been a student at the University of Pennsylvania).
Though PennMUSH was based off of MUSH version 2 (and a version 3 was later developed), PennMUSH is considered to be the true successor to TinyMUSH. It is also the most popular of the MUSHes.
Not only that, PennMUSH development continues to this very day. Like other MUD codebase projects currently still being worked on, it is located at GitHub under the name PennMUSH.
